Who we are and what we do
Twire (Pvt) Ltd is a Swedish owned software service company based in Colombo conducting Business to Business (B2B). As such, Twire (Pvt) Ltd may sometimes have access to individuals’ personal data in certain situations through the customer, and thus act as a “processor” in that aspect.
How personal data is used
Twire (Pvt) Ltd only process data necessary in order to execute its business operations. Sometimes personal data processed by Twire (Pvt) Ltd forms part of an agreement between us as a company acting as a processor and our customer. Any personal data that Twire (Pvt) Ltd have access to is therefore, in most cases, related to the processing done by our customer and therefore depends on the contract with that customer. The processing will continue for as long as the customer employs Twire (Pvt) Ltd and its services.
Personal data may be shared with other third parties according to the contract between the customer and Twire (Pvt) Ltd, and if so following data protection rules and regulations.
All employees that have access to personal data are under confidentiality obligations, and only those employees that need to have access to personal data are authorised so. Twire (Pvt) Ltd sometimes have access to individuals’ personal data, but do not collect or store personal data unless required to do so in terms of for example backups or when otherwise legally required. Data is only kept as long as there is a legitimate and lawful basis for doing so.

Your data will be processed on the basis of your consent and to sign and perform a potential contract with you. We would also like to inform you that you as a data subject may have certain rights, especially as an EU/ EEA resident, according to “data subjects’ rights” under the GDPR. Your personal data will only be stored as long as there is a legitimate and lawful basis for doing so. Your personal data provided may be shared with our employees, contractors, and service suppliers. In addition, the recipients of your data can be authorities, bodies and other public entities authorised by law.
The provision of data and consent is fully voluntary but necessary for the purposes of conducting business with us. Without this data we cannot reply with a quote or sign a contract with you. Therefore, if you submit personal data to us here you agree to the processing of your personal data by Twire (Pvt) Ltd, Colombo, Sri Lanka, so that we can contact you, present you with a quote and hopefully sign a contract for our services with you.
Job applicants
In relation to personal data collected from job applicants who respond to a recruitment advertisement posted on the organisation’s website, where the application is unsuccessful, all such personal data will be destroyed unless there is a lawful and legitimate basis for saving the data (e.g. to save a CV for future recruitment purposes). Personal data collected from job applicants is used for consideration of the applicants’ job application, and for recruitment related purposes, and will not be used for any other purposes, disclosed or transferred without collected consent, unless such use, disclosure or transfer is permitted or required by law.
